The third reason most people don't succeed in achieving their fitness goals, is that they don't follow a diet plan that will help lead them to their goals.
It doesn't matter what your goals are, you need to be eating properly for your goal.
There is a ton of research on nutrition and no matter what your goal is, there are hundreds of nutrition books designed to help you match your diet with your goals.
If you have not seen this yet, Oprah recently said that her weight is going out of control. Why? Because she can't control her eating habits.
Her trainer, Bob Greene is the trainer that is on the show The Biggest Loser, so you know that he can get people results with his workouts.
The problem is, she cannot control her eating.
So how do you control your eating without creating a Yo-Yo effect like Oprah.
Well, it goes back to having a plan.
I have noticed with a lot of people go all or nothing on their diet. They either eat like crap or they try doing a crazy strict change where they change everything all at once. They cut down on their portion sizes, don't eat red meat, carbs, dairy, and they definently don't eat sweets.
Well my recommendation is to find the middle ground.
Start by cutting down on your portion sizes.
Keep a food log, to keep yourself on track and stay consistent with cutting the portion sizes down.
Once you are eating less, start limiting the amount of cheese or sweets in your diet.
*Notice- I did not say quit eating them, I said LIMIT them. This is life, we want to enjoy it.
Move through a step or two a month like that and you will be amazed at how healthy you are eating in 6 months and you won't yo-yo like Oprah!
Keep up the great work and check back on Monday for Reason #4 that people don't reach their fitness goals.
Make it a great day San Antonio!
