8/23/2010 To me, exercise is fun. I truly like any form of exercise, whether it is running, biking, playing sports, lifting weights, it doesn't matter I like it all. What I do find is that I constantly have to change up what I am doing for a workout or I get bored. I can push myself with one type of exercise for about 6 weeks before I just no longer have the motivation to stick with it. It can be as simple as switching from lifting heavy weights at close to my maximal strength for 3reps of 6 sets with long breaks in between each set to then doing more Crossfit workouts where I move from exercise to exercise quickly giving 100% effort over a short burst of time. Other times I have to completely switch gears. I may cut my weight workouts down to 2 or 3 times per week and pick up a sport and play that sport constantly for weeks before getting back into a normal lifting routine. I think many of you are like me. Many of you love to run, but after a several weeks of training you get bored. Well here are a few races that are far from the normal and will make your training more interesting: These races have some really unique qualities and may peak your interest in a different sport or simply just change your daily routine! Let me know if you sign up for any of these races, we may be able to meet up for breakfast at one! Make it a great day!
