Heat & Water PDF Print E-mail

Today as I was driving to and from the studio I saw several people running.  I am really impressed with these people dedication, but I hope they are being careful.

As I write this, it is 98 degrees outside!  That is hot and a dangerous temperature to be exercising in.

If you are going to be working out in this heat, be sure to drink plenty of water before, during and after your workout.  Additionally, try and keep yourself cool during your workout by putting cool water on yourself either with a towel or just by pouring it on your head.

If you are outside in this heat, be careful and aware of how your body is feeling.  If you start to feel your body cramping, if your muscles feel weak, or if you get light headed or dizzy, be sure to stop your exercise and cool your body down.

The heat at this time of year and for the next 3 months or so will be nearly unbearable.  If you are going to go out in the peak of the heat be sure to take care of yourself by staying hydrated and staying cool.

Make it a great day San Antonio!
