5/21/09 This morning when I arrived back at my apartment, the maintenance man stopped me and asked me about a new energy drink that he had seen advertised by Lance Armstrong called FRS. You can read more about FRS at their website: www.frs.com I told him that I had not heard of FRS but that I would look it up and get back to him, but that I thought most energy drinks were/are an expensive way to stay awake. Now, I am not writing this to say never to drink any energy drinks, but most of the benefits you receive from energy drinks, you can get from a well balanced diet. 60% of your body's energy comes from carbohydrates. If you are eating an adequate amount of fruits and vegetables and some whole grain pastas and rices, then you should have more than adequate energy to get through your workouts and your day! So, instead of spending nearly $60 for a 24 pack of FRS, go to the grocery store and stock up on good fruits and vegetables. Eat them consistently throughout the day and you will feel great!
